Dr. Gazalla Amin, former Secretary General of the KCC&I, has died.

Srinagar(GNS): Dr. Gazalla Amin Noor, a prominent businesswoman and former secretary of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, died on the intervening Saturday and Sunday nights in a hospital in New Delhi. She was 59 years old.

According to a former KCC&I associate, Noor had been suffering from cancer for many years and was currently undergoing treatment for over two weeks at a hospital in New Delhi, where she died at around 11:30 p.m.

Noor, the daughter of former Chief Secretary Noor Mohammad and the niece of prominent lawyer Advocate Zaffar Shah, was born in the Bandipora district of Asham-Sumbal.

Noor, an MBBS by profession, was the owner of ‘Fasiam Agro Farms.’ She is the only woman to have received J&K’s Progressive Farming Award (in 2011) and the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship for 2015.

Noor is survived by her husband and three sons.
