Jammu, September 19: The Indian Army on Friday evening reported an encounter with terrorists in the Kishtwar district.
According to officials, the exchange of fire began around 8 pm during an intelligence-based operation. In a post on micro-blogging platform X, the Army’s WhiteKnight Corps stated that alert troops established contact with terrorists in the region, leading to a gunfight.
“Exchange of fire took place. Operations are currently in progress,” the WhiteKnight Corps posted, confirming that security forces remain engaged in the area.
