New Delhi: A prominent group of Indian Muslims, Citizens for Fraternity (CFF), has strongly condemned the bomb blast near the historic Red Fort, calling it a heinous assault on the nation and India’s shared heritage. In a press release dated November 12, 2025, CFF unequivocally denounced this inhumane act.
Prominent Figures Issue Statement
The press release has been signed by distinguished personalities including former Chief Election Commissioner Dr. S.Y. Quraishi, former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and ex-Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia Dr. Najeeb Jung, former Deputy Chief of Army Lieutenant General Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd), industrialist and former President of Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India Mr. Saeed Mustafa Shervani, and senior journalist and former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shahid Siddiqui.
Strong Message Against Terrorism
CFF stated in their release: “We, a group of concerned Indian Muslims, strongly condemn the recent bomb blast at the historic Red Fort. The heinous act is an assault on our nation and the shared heritage that belongs to every Indian. As Muslims, we utterly condemn and denounce this inhuman deed”.

The organization emphasized that “Indian Muslims stand united against all forms of terror. Such crimes cannot and must not be linked to any community or to our Kashmiri brethren, who have themselves borne immense suffering and are an inseparable part of the Indian family”.
Blast Details
On November 10, 2025, at 6:52 pm, a Hyundai i20 car exploded near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, killing at least nine people and injuring more than 20 others. The Union Cabinet has declared the incident a “terrorist incident” and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation.
