New Delhi: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has extended its application deadline for all distance and online learning programmes for the 2026–27 academic session to September 8, 2026. The previous deadline was August 10.
Alongside the extension, CDOE has introduced 11 new certificate and diploma programmes, expanding its total offerings to 60 courses.
Key Dates & Schedule
- Revised Application Deadline: September 8, 2026
- B.Ed. & MBA (ODL) Entrance Test: September 19, 2026 (Rescheduled from August 22)
- Venue for Entrance Test: JMI Campus, New Delhi (Details on Admit Card)
- Document Verification & Fee Submission: September 26 – October 6, 2026
- Final Admission Completion Date: October 10, 2026
11 Newly Introduced Programmes
To provide learners with market-relevant, practical, and language skills, CDOE has added the following offerings:
- Language Certificates: French, Spanish, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, and Russian
- Media & Skill Certificates: Photography & Video Editing, Anchoring & Broadcast Presentation
- Cultural Studies Certificate: Indian Knowledge Systems
- Diplomas: Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media, Advanced Diploma in Conflict Analysis and Peace Building

Prof. Aslam Khan, Director of CDOE, recommended extending the deadline following numerous requests from applicants. JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi highlighted that expanding these skill-oriented programmes aligns with JMI’s ongoing efforts to broaden access to distance and online education.
