New Delhi, May 15, 2026: Ten alumni of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) from the 2024 and 2025 B.Tech batches have been placed at AlMeer Saudi Technical Services Co., Saudi Arabia, the University Placement Cell (UPC) announced on Friday. The recruits—graduates in Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering—have joined the company as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) with annual packages of ₹12 lakh and company-provided accommodation.
The recruitment followed a campus visit by an AlMeer delegation in December 2025. The team, led by CEO & President Gulam Mustafa and accompanied by Vice President – Operations Furquan Mohammad and Estimation Manager Mohammad Khaja, held a Pre-Placement Talk that outlined the organisation, job responsibilities and career prospects. Candidates were evaluated through a multi-stage process including a questionnaire assessment, face-to-face interviews and final selection rounds.
JMI officials who welcomed the delegation included Hony. Director Prof. Rahela Farooqi and Hony. Deputy Director Prof. Sabah Khan. Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Director of CIE and Professor-TPO, also thanked the visitors and congratulated the successful candidates.
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, the University Placement Cell continues to support students and alumni with training and placement initiatives. UPC congratulated the selected alumni and wished them success as they begin their assignments in Al Khobar this month.
