Gulzar Ahmad Shabnum, Additional Director of SKIMS, has suspended three technicians from the Gastroenterology department of SKIMS, Mohammad Amin, Mohammad Yaseen Wani, and Parminder Kour, for being away from work without authorization.
The suspended technicians have been assigned to the office of the Additional Director, SKIMS, until the outcome of the investigation. Prof. Mohammad Altaf Shah, HOD of the Gastroenterology Department, has been instructed to investigate the problem and produce a report within a week.
Meanwhile, Additional Director SKIMS, who is also the Administrator of Associated Hospitals, has suspended six Associated Hospitals employees, Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Syed Abdul Wahid, Irshad Ahmad Khan, Shazia Showket, Mehboob Hassan Khan, and Gh.Nabi Shiekh, for dereliction of duty and violating official orders. The personnel have been assigned to the Administrator of Associated Hospitals’ office until further instructions, and the Administrator has ordered an investigation into the matter and requested a report within a week.
Meanwhile, Dr. Haneef Mohd Dar, Incharge Assistant Professor, Department Of Surgery, GMC Srinagar, has been ordered to respond to a complaint filed against him and two other employees accusing them of abusing their positions. He has been given two days to positively explain the situation.
