Hirdesh Kumar appointed as new Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer

New Delhi: The Election Commission on Monday (March 16, 2020) appointed IAS officer Hirdesh Kumar as the new Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir.

Hirdesh replaces Shailendra Kumar.

The Election Commission issued a notification announcing the appointment of Hirdesh Kumar and asked the Jammu and Kashmir administration to ensure the new CEO takes charge “immediately”.
