NEW DELHI: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially launched its admission process for 49 Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) programs for the upcoming academic session. Online applications opened on July 24, 2026, and the deadline for submission is August 10, 2026.
Interested candidates can apply directly via the JMI CDOE Admission Portal.
New Programs Introduced
Expanding its academic offerings, CDOE has introduced two new courses this year:
- Bachelor of Science (Biosciences)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA – Online Mode)
Selection for both new offerings will be determined by marks in the qualifying examination followed by an interview.
Program Breakdown & Selection Criteria
Admissions across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs follow specific entry pathways:
- Merit-Based Degree Programs: Admission to B.A. (General), B.Com., BBA, and M.Com., along with M.A. programs (Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Human Resource Management, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, and Urdu), will be based on qualifying exam merit.
- Entrance-Based Programs: Admissions for B.Ed. and MBA (ODL) require an entrance test, scheduled for August 22, 2026. The test center will be located on the Jamia Millia Islamia campus, with specific details provided on the candidate’s admit card.
- Diplomas & Certificates: Applications are also open for specialized courses, including the Postgraduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, Advanced Diplomas in Educational Media Production and Mass Media, and Certificates in Information Technology and Computer Hardware & Network Technology.
Verification and Fee Submission
Shortlisted applicants will receive notifications via their registered email regarding physical document verification. Document verification and fee submission will take place between August 31 and September 10, 2026.
Highlighting the institution’s direction, Prof. Aslam Khan, Director of CDOE, noted that the Centre continues to focus on providing relevant academic programs aligned with evolving trends in higher education and industry demand.
Applicants are urged to review all eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying, as no forms will be accepted after the August 10 deadline.
