NEW DELHI: In a major achievement for Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Mohd. Shamoon, a final-year B.Tech Computer Engineering student, has landed a lucrative Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) from global payment giant VISA with an impressive package of ₹35 LPA.
Shamoon’s journey began with a competitive summer internship at VISA, earning a stipend of ₹90,000 per month after clearing a rigorous online assessment and interview series. His stellar performance during the internship phase earned him the full-time offer ahead of his 2027 graduation.
Commending the accomplishment, JMI’s University Placement Cell (UPC) leadership—including Hony. Director Prof. Rahela Farooqi, Hony. Dy. Director Prof. Sabah Khan, and Professor (TPO) Prof. Rihan Khan Suri—praised Shamoon’s dedication and expertise. The placement team also acknowledged the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Mahtab Alam Rizvi.
