Srinagar, Jul 17 (Waris Shah): A leopard on Monday evening went berserk and injured at least twelve persons in Sallar village in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports reaching GNS said that a leopard emerged out of a forest area in Sallar Srigufwara in Pahalgam attacking and injuring twelve persons.
The injured persons have been identified as Rukiya Bashir daughter of Bashir Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad son of Gh Mohd, Irshad Ahmad son of Ab Gani, Ruby Jan wife of Shabir Ahmad, Saima Jan wife of Sartaj Ahmad, Zaira Jan daughter of Sartaj Ahmad, Qasim son of Fayaz Ahmad, Mehran, Gull Joo, Shahzada wife of Tariq Ahmad, Parveena wife of Ab Rashid and Shahid Ahmad son of Mohammad Jamal.
The injured were evacuated to SDH Sallar from where most of them have been referred to GMC Anantnag for preferential treatment.
