Srinagar(GNS): A newlywed police officer died this morning in the Shadipora Payeen area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after being hit by an oil tanker.
According to GNS, Farhad Ali, a police officer assigned to the District Police Lines in Bandipora and the son of Ghulam Hyder Wani of Shadipora Payeen, was hit and severely injured by an unknown oil tanker about 4:00 a.m. near his hometown.
Farhad was then transferred to SKIMS Bemina, where he died of his injuries, they claimed. They stated Farhad, who had just been married for four days, was on his way to a Masjid (mosque) to conduct Fajr (morning) prayers.
A police officer confirmed to GNS that the incident had been taken into account and that investigations had begun.
