Srinagar, March 15: Indian Army troops, in a joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police, neutralized a Pakistani terrorist during an anti-infiltration bid in the Buchhar area of Uri Sector, Baramulla district.
The Army’s Chinar Corps shared details on X, stating: “Based on specific intelligence from JKP about an infiltration attempt, a joint op was launched on the intervening night of 14-15 Mar 26 in Gen area Buchhar, Uri sector.
“Alert troops spotted suspicious terrorist movement in the thicket. The ambush was readjusted, and upon challenge, the terrorist fired indiscriminately. In the ensuing contact, a Pak terrorist was eliminated. Warlike stores, including an AK rifle, pistols, and a large quantity of ammunition, recovered. Op continues.”
The operation underscores the vigilance along the Line of Control amid ongoing threats.
