Srinagar, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir Police have filed a case into a bomb hoax at an educational institution in Jammu.
Security forces and BDS arrived at the location on Residency Road in Jammu this morning after receiving information about a purported call from an unidentified individual claiming to have hidden a bomb inside an educational facility.
However the threat later turned out to be a hoax, the Police informed through micro-blogging site ‘X’.
Taking note of the fictitious call, the police announced that they have opened a case for additional inquiries.
“Jammu Police acted swiftly on bomb threat by an unknown caller to one private school. Police conducted extensive search and sanitised area. The threat turned out to be hoax and FIR has been registered,” police wrote on ‘X’.
