AI Translation Reflects Our Intelligence: Prof. Ghazanfar
New Delhi: In recent times, there has been a significant increase in the creation of stories and novels in Urdu literature. There is a need to review and evaluate the literary importance of what is being written under the banner of short stories. On the second day of the three-day national seminar, “Research ,Criticism and Creative Panorama of Contemporary Urdu Literature,” organized by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language in collaboration with the Centre of Indian Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, renowned author Prof. Ghazanfar shared these thoughts in the first session.
Prof. Ghazanfar stated, “Translation through Artificial Intelligence reflects our own intelligence, so it is essential to upload good, informative, and useful content so we can make the most out of AI.” In this session, Prof. Abbas Raza Nayyar, Prof. Abubakar Abad, Dr. Shamim Ahmed, and Dr. Abdul Hai presented their research papers. Prof. Shahab Inayat Malik, the session’s second chair, appreciated all the research papers and emphasized that the Council is working not only on a national but also on an international level for the development of Urdu.
Presiding over the second session, Prof. Qamar-ul-Huda Faridi remarked, “Literature makes the past a part of the present and the present a part of the future. Literature does not eliminate problems or human tendencies but addresses their shortcomings.” He further added that any era’s scientific advancements are products of the human mind, and in this age of Artificial Intelligence, new challenges and subjects are emerging.
Dr. Shafi Ayyub moderated this session. In the second session, Prof. Shams-ul-Huda Daryabadi, Mushtaq Alam Qadri, Dr. Khawar Naqeeb, and Dr. Afzal Misbahi presented their research papers. Prof. Fazlullah Makram also stressed the need to adopt technology in his address.
In the third session, Dr. Aqila Syed Ghaus, Dr. Mushtaq Sadiq, Dr. Anupama Pal, and Dr. Abubakar Rizvi presented their research papers. Presiding over the session, Prof. Kausar Mujhri said, “The canvas of this topic is very broad, and there is a need for further discussion on its various aspects.”
The fourth session was chaired by Prof. Ejaz Mohammad Sheikh and Prof. Nasir Naqvi, where Dr. Darkhshan Zareen, Dr. Rubina Shabnam, Dr. Mujahid-ul-Islam, and Dr. Durani Shabana Khan presented their research papers.
