Srinagar, Aug 5: On Friday, the government appointed Dheeraj Gupta (IAS), Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, as Inquiry Officer to conduct a time-bound investigation into the issue of allowing retired officers to continue their studies at Cluster University, Srinagar.
According to a government order, a copy of which is with GNS, the inquiry officer has also been asked to determine the responsibility of the officers and officials who exceeded their authority and issued orders without the approval of Competent Authority.
“The Presenting Officer in the matter shall be the Special Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department.”
The Inquiry Officer has been given one month to submit his or her report.(GNS Iput)
