JMI Batch 2026 Placements Kick Off with Strong Start

A B.Tech Computer Engineering student received a PPO from Optum at ₹18 LPA for the role of Software Development Engineer.

    New Delhi, September 17, 2025: The University Placement Cell of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has kick-started the placement season for the Batch of 2026 on a remarkable note, with students bagging lucrative offers from top multinational companies.

    The season began with a student from B.Tech Computer Engineering securing a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) from Optum at an impressive package of ₹18 LPA for the role of Software Development Engineer.

    Adding to the success, four Computer Engineering students have been selected by IDFC First Bank as Application Engineers, each with a package of ₹16 LPA. From the Electronics & Communication stream, one student received a PPO from Accenture with a package of ₹11.89 LPA.

    In Electrical Engineering, three students from B.Tech and M.Tech programs were chosen by Siemens Energy India Limited (SEIL). The B.Tech graduates have been offered Graduate Engineer Trainee roles with ₹6 LPA packages, while the M.Tech student has been selected as a Post Graduate Engineer Trainee with a package of ₹9 LPA.

    The university credited these stellar placements to the dedication of students, constant mentorship from faculty, and the consistent efforts of the Placement Cell in strengthening industry linkages. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi lauded the accomplishments, while the Placement Cell team — Prof. Rahela Farooqi (Director), Prof. Sabah Khan (Dy. Director), and Prof. Rihan Khan Suri (Professor & Director, CIE) — congratulated the students on their outstanding success.
