Anantnag, Aug 13 (Waris Shah): A man was killed and two others injured in a road mishap involving a motorcycle and a car in Dandipora area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official said that a motorcycle carrying number JK03L 2266 collided with an Alto 800 bearing number JK18B 2766 being driven by Athar Yaqoob Wagay, the son of Mohd Yaqoob Wagay, a resident of Wantrag Kehribal.
“The motorcyclist Aarif Hussain Chopan (38) son of Ghulam Mohd chopan resident of Checki Gohan and his son Moomin Aarif Chopan (5) received critical injuries”, the official said adding the driver of the Alto car and another passenger Sahil Javid Khaki son of Javid Ahmad Khaki resident of Mattan also got injured.

According to them, Aarif Hussain Chopan and his child were brought there for supplementary care after the injured were carried to SDH Kokernag for first treatment.
“However one Aarif Chopan succumbed on way to the hospital”, they said.
Confirming it, a police official told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard for investigations.
