Young Talents Shine as Three-Week Children’s Theatre Workshop Culminates in Spirited Performance

New Delhi: A three‑week theatre workshop organised by Three Arts Club in collaboration with ASHI culminated on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with a lively performance by children from various government schools at the Andhra Education Society auditorium.

Under the mentorship of theatre artist Nidhikant Pandey, the participants presented a contemporary adaptation of Bharatendu Harishchandra’s classic Andher Nagri Choupat Raja, retitled Reels Nagri Popat Raja. The young actors performed with notable enthusiasm, confidence and vigour, demonstrating the acting, voice and teamwork skills they developed during the workshop.

Dr. Anjila Gugnani, Director of ASHI, praised Pandey’s contribution, calling his energy “beyond par excellence” and highlighting his role in inspiring the children. Vineeta Sharma, ASHI counsellor, assisted Pandey in staging the play and guiding the students through the performance.

Representatives from Three Arts Club, Nupur Jain and Anuradha Dar, attended the event along with ASHI’s Secretary General Alka Sharma. The auditorium was packed with parents, children and guests, whose warm response amplified the celebratory atmosphere. In recognition of their work on the project, Anuradha Dar and Nidhikant Pandey were felicitated by Ms. Punam Dayal, Deputy Secretary General of ASHI.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Alka Bipin Sharma, Secretary General of ASHI. The performance marked a joyful conclusion to three weeks of learning, creativity, teamwork and self‑expression through theatre.
