President Droupadi Murmu to Embark on Four-Day Tour of Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: The Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Monday that the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will undertake a significant four-state visit from February 24 to 27, 2026. The tour will cover a diverse range of engagements, from healthcare and spiritual initiatives to witnessing the nation’s military prowess.

Maharashtra: Focus on Health and Unity (Feb 24–25)

The President’s visit kicks off in Mumbai on February 24, where she will inaugurate the ‘Saving Lives and Building a Healthier Bharat’ campaign. This nationwide initiative, organized by PD Hinduja Hospital, aims to strengthen the country’s healthcare framework.

On February 25, the itinerary moves to:

  • Shegaon, Buldhana: The President will grace the National Arogya Fair 2026, an event hosted by the Union Ministry of AYUSH to promote traditional Indian medicine.
  • Nagpur: Later that day, she will attend the state-level launch of ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust’, organized by the Brahma Kumaris.

Jharkhand: Spiritual and Educational Outreach (Feb 26)

Moving to Jamshedpur on February 26, President Murmu will participate in the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of the Sri Jagannath Temple. The project is led by the Shri Jagannath Spiritual & Cultural Charitable Centre Trust.

Following the ceremony, the President is scheduled to visit Manipal TATA Medical College to interact with students, highlighting her continued focus on youth and medical education.

Rajasthan: Military Display at Pokharan (Feb 27)

The tour will conclude on February 27 in Pokharan, Rajasthan. The President will stand as a witness to Ex Vayushakti, the Indian Air Force’s massive demonstration of its firepower and operational capabilities.
