New Delhi, April 16: The two-day Working Committee meeting of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind began this afternoon at the organization’s central office in New Delhi. Chaired by national President Maulana Mahmood Madani, the session is addressing critical national, community, and organizational challenges.
General Secretary Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi opened proceedings by reading the minutes of the previous meeting, which were duly confirmed. Discussions then proceeded on key agenda items, including:
- Strategies to safeguard madrasas from threats.
- Opposition to curbing constitutional rights under the guise of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
- Initiatives for social reform within the community.
- The ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
The meeting will also reaffirm Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind’s longstanding policy against aligning with communal political parties, offering clear guidance to its members and workers.
