Kashmir: NC asks Admin to make adequate arrangements in view of Eid Ul Fitr

Date:

Srinagar(GNS): Dr. Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, the National Conference’s Additional General Secretary, asked the administration on Friday to make adequate preparations for the upcoming Eid Ul Fitr observance.

Kamal requested that the current administration issue orders to the concerned departments to make elaborate arrangements for guaranteeing cleanliness and other related matters for the convenience of devotees at all important shrines and Eidgah’s throughout Kashmir.

He also urged the administration to issue directions to the police to put in place foolproof security procedures that would allow people to walk freely. “Traffic police authorities should also guarantee that public and private transportation runs smoothly and that traffic is properly regulated to avoid congestion in all major towns and cities across Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in all important business and shopping areas,” says the report. The government should provide directions to the PHE and PDD to ensure that water and power are delivered to consumers without interruption, particularly on Youm-e-Arfah,” he added.

Kamal urged everyone to observe the auspicious Eid Day in accordance with the noble and beloved teachings of Islam’s holy Prophet Mohammad (SAW).

Meanwhile, party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi have urged for holistic and thorough arrangements at all of Kashmir’s main shrines and mosques. They also urged the government to ensure that water and power were available to users on the eve of Eid Ul Fitr.
