Kupwara, Jun 27: A 17-year-old boy has died after falling into a well in Lone Harie village of Kralpora area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Bilal Ahmad Mochi, the son of Abdul Ahad Mochi and a resident of Lone Harie, reportedly fell into an open well today afternoon, according to reports that reached GNS. When they learned about it, the boy’s family and the villagers set out to rescue him with the help of the police. The youngster was eventually located after nearly an hour of exhausting efforts, but he was unconscious and could not be revived.
A police spokesman confirmed to GNS and said that a team had been sent to the scene to investigate any potential causes of the man’s fall into the well.
Meanwhile, the tragic loss of the kid cast a pall of gloom over the entire region.
