Jamia Senior Secondary School Joins Hands with IIT Madras for Online Certificate Courses

NEW DELHI: Jamia Senior Secondary School (Jamia Millia Islamia) has entered into an academic partnership with the prestigious IIT Madras School Connect Programme. This collaboration aims to provide students in Classes IX through XII with hands-on exposure to advanced online learning, helping them discover their academic passions and navigate future career opportunities.

The initiative was brought to fruition through the institutional support of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi. At the school level, Principal Dr. Mohd. Arshad Khan spearheaded participation, while Ms. Wasiya Siddiqui (PGT Computer Science) coordinated the effort and has been appointed as the school’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

Through this partnership, students can enroll in eight-week online certificate courses spanning Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computing, Humanities, and Management. Course subjects include:

Technology & STEM: Data Science & AI, Cybersecurity, Electronic Systems, Aerospace, Game Technology, Biological Systems, and Chemical Engineering.
Humanities & Social Sciences: Economics & Finance, Law, Digital Humanities, Ecology, Product Design, and Architecture.

The curriculum is structured to help younger students (Classes IX–X) make informed choices when choosing their stream in Class XI, while senior students (Classes XI–XII) can test-drive potential undergraduate majors. Students who complete the required assignments and examinations will earn official e-certificates issued by IIT Madras CODE.
