Srinagar, Aug 13: A known figure in the Education Department, Ghulam Nabi Shah, belonging to Drugmulla in Kupwara district has passed away on intervening Saturday and Sunday night. He was 75.
A close relative of the deceased told GNS that Shah was not well for quite a long time and passed away at SKIMS Soura last night.
Shah was a celebrated educationist from north Kashmir, who served as ZEO in various zones.
Known for his hold on multiple subjects and fluency in several languages, Shah had a great influence on the Education department especially in native district Kupwara.
The funeral prayers to the departed soul, as conveyed by the relative, are scheduled at 10:45 AM.
