Srinagar, September 18: In a major action against unlawful activities, police in Anantnag have attached immovable property in connection with a narco-terror case.
According to a police statement issued to GNS, the property attachment is linked to FIR No. 57/2024, registered at Police Station Mattan under Sections 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, Sections 13, 18, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Section 5 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act.
The attached property consists of land measuring 3 Kanals and 6 Marlas, recorded under Khasra No. 283 Min, Khewat No. 16, and Khata No. 155 at Sangam Bijbehara. The land is registered in the name of Iqra Mushtaq, daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Hugam, Srigufwara, Anantnag, who is the niece of accused Firdous Ahmad Bhat.
Police said the action was carried out following due legal procedures as part of the ongoing crackdown on individuals and properties linked with narco-terrorism and other anti-national activities. The Jammu and Kashmir Police reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding peace, ensuring public safety, and upholding the rule of law.
