Srinagar, November 14: The residential property belonging to Dr. Umar Nabi, the main accused in the recent Red Fort blast, was demolished overnight in the Koil locality of Pulwama district, South Kashmir, authorities confirmed on Thursday.
Official sources revealed that security forces used a controlled explosion to bring down the building, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation. The move follows Dr. Umar Nabi’s identification as the prime suspect in the Red Fort attack, where a white Hyundai i20 was seen at the site before detonating, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 13 lives.
The attack has sparked strong reactions across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet, during an emergency security meeting, strongly condemned the violence, describing it as a cowardly act perpetrated by anti-national forces. Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring the culprits are brought to justice and security is strengthened at sensitive locations.
Investigations into the Red Fort blast are ongoing, with authorities intensifying efforts to uncover the network and motives behind the attack.
