Jamia Millia Islamia’s Faculty of Dentistry conducted a dental check-up camp for 220 MCD school students in Jamia Nagar, promoting oral health awareness and early detection of dental issues.
New Delhi: New Delhi, September 18, 2025: The Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, organized a dental check-up and referral camp at the MCD School in Abul Fazal Enclave, Jamia Nagar, on September 17, 2025. The initiative aimed to raise oral health awareness among children, detect dental issues at an early stage, and provide referral support for further treatment.
A total of 220 students underwent thorough oral examinations conducted by a team of dental professionals from the university. Alongside clinical check-ups, students received practical guidance on maintaining oral hygiene, including demonstrations of proper brushing techniques. Awareness talks were also delivered to emphasize the significance of healthy diet choices and regular dental care.
The camp received an enthusiastic response from both students and teachers, many of whom requested that such initiatives be organized regularly. Participants appreciated the effort, highlighting how it not only addressed existing dental concerns but also encouraged preventive health practices.
According to the Faculty of Dentistry, such outreach programs play a crucial role in instilling long-term oral health habits among children. By focusing on early detection, consistent education, and effective intervention, these camps significantly contribute to improving community health standards.
