Budgam, October 1: Budgam Police have taken decisive action against secessionist networks by attaching the head office of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a major crackdown under anti-terror laws.
Major Action Against Banned Outfit
The property, located at Rehmatabad, Hyderpora, was attached on Wednesday under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). This represents a significant blow to unlawful activities threatening national security in the region.
The attached property consists of a three-storey building situated on 1 kanal 1 marla of land (Khasra No. 946, Khata No. 306), which had been functioning as the operational headquarters of the banned organization. The action follows an ongoing investigation linked to FIR No. 08/2024 registered at Police Station Budgam under UAPA provisions.
Coordinated Security Measures
Budgam Police executed the attachment after gathering substantial evidence and securing approval from competent authorities in accordance with legal procedures. Officials emphasized that this move demonstrates their unwavering commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and safeguarding regional peace.
In an official statement, police confirmed they will continue coordinating with other security agencies to pursue strict action against individuals and organizations involved in activities that undermine India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The department has vowed to maintain zero tolerance toward subversive elements operating in the area.
